Focus of work
This project aimed to popularise the use of green transport, such as electric bikes, through supporting local organisations to create five green transport community councils across England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
Impact
Key achievements:
- Helped to create a Sustainable Transport Research Council, with members including Dundee University, Leicester University, Nottingham University and the Transport Research Lab in Reading
- Supported Cycle Chics to create a workshop about their ‘She’s Electric’ campaign to promote the use of electric bikes by women – which they delivered to over 60 UK organisations and mobilised four local authorities as a result
- Created a Rollsafe national documentary seen by 2,600 people including MPs and local authorities, educating them on the challenges some people face with transport and the solutions
- Facilitated over six meetings to connect organisations and encourage partnerships.
