Focus of work
Action Vision Zero is proud to be funded by FIT’s Alastair Hanton Memorial Fund. The project has two strands:
1. Vision Zero Road Danger: London
The London campaign focuses on ensuring TfL and borough road safety programmes reduce motor vehicle trips as well as the number of people killed and seriously injured in crashes. Work includes connecting local road safety, active travel and environmental campaigners and councillors to strengthen the case for reducing motor vehicle trips.
2. Vision Zero Road Danger: Roads Policing campaign
The Roads Policing campaign focuses on making the case for traffic law enforcement to be based on road danger reduction and prioritises reducing risk to people walking and cycling. The project connects and informs local campaigners, and provides assistance with lobbying police and Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs). Action Vision Zero analyses the data and produces summaries, including comparisons, to identify good practice. Their briefings will be sent to campaigners as well as police and PCCs to improve awareness of the need and benefits of road danger reduction-based enforcement.
